To Get More Information Or To Register Ken Beck, the owner of Black Widow Bows; has given GGO the Scott Beck Memorial Fund. This fund was created after Ken’s son was killed in a dune buggy accident while still in high school years ago. GGO will use the interest from this fund to get boys whose dads have abused them or abandoned them to GGO outdoor adventures. Then these young men can spend time with godly men to see what dads should really be like. A portion of the money raised at the God’s Great Outdoors Pheasant Hunt Fundraiser will help this new area of the ministry that we have titled, Fathers To Future Men! John Gibson who was once a stand up comedian, is the Executive Chairman of Paradigm, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions to the global oil and natural gas exploration and production industry. Ed Hearn In 1986, after eight trying years in the minor leagues, Ed realized his childhood dream of playing Major League Baseball. In his rookie season with the New York Mets, they captured the World Series with a dramatic come-from-behind victory. A year later, Ed was traded to the Kansas City Royals, expecting to reap the rewards of a lucrative professional contract. Instead, he suffered a serious shoulder injury. He spent the next three years fighting his way back, only to have to walk away from the game he loved. Little did Ed know, the physical obstacles that awaited him were far more devastating than the shoulder that caused his athletic demise.
David Szott had a fourteen year NFL career as an Offensive Linemen. He was with the Kansas City Chiefs for eleven years, the Washington Redskins for one year and the New York Jets for two years. David then began coaching the New York Jets in the 2004 and 2005 seasons. From there he became the New York Jets team Chaplain in 2006. During his distinguished career, he was named NFL’s Man of the Year in 1996 & 2002. He was also named the All Pro Offensive Linemen of the Year by Pro Football Weekly in 1997. The zeal David had on the field as a football player is also how he carries out his duties as an NFL Chaplain, so as to reflect Jesus Christ to all those he is blessed to minister to. ***It is important to understand that the The God's Great Outdoors Pheasant Hunt Fundraisers events are not just to support our ministry efforts. The key reason the GGO Board of Directors voted to do these was so those attending will bring others who need Jesus Christ. (And paying their way will diminish the excuses the friend or family member may give for not coming.) Please pray about this outreach and your attendance.
