Rev. Jeffrey S. Graham writes:

Dear Cyndi,

Thanks for your letter on Valentine's Day. I've been too busy to respond until now, but I was very anxious to do so as soon as I could.

I attended the first God's Great Outdoors conference in Hopkinsville last year. It was great. It served me well in several areas, as follows...

1. I found out I was not alone. As a pastor, I was sometimes a little reluctant to share with people that I enjoyed shooting guns and hunting game, as well as other outdoor activities such as canoeing and camping. I met others with my interests in my area. Perhaps most useful, I found a Christian taxidermist!

2. I gained valuable resources which I will use in the course of my ministry. The materials which I received at the conference have proven very valuable in the last year.

3. I got ideas on reaching some of the unchurched, particularly men, in my area who ordinarily don't think about church and faith all too often. I think it's "lifestyle" or "situational" evangelism at it's best.

I heartily endorse your ministry. Keep up the good work for the Kingdom.

In Christ,

Rev. Jeffrey S. Graham

Greetings Gerry,

I would just like to thank you for putting on this conference across the nation.

Dear friends, you will find this conference extremely helpful for your current sports ministry outreach program, or if you plan in the future to explore this fast growing and effective means of sharing the Gospel. Our staff went to this conference earlier this year in Wisconsin and found it very informative and we have been involved in sports ministry for coming up on five years. This conference is packed with well known Christian sports personalities and leaders in the industry.

Outdoor Adventures Ministry has been blessed in this area of outreach as we have seen lives changed. As we are currently partnered up with Eagle Brook Church Outreach Ministry, our future plan is to expand and partner up with as many churches and ministries we can to help consult in this special area of outreach. Our mission, is to encourage Christian growth and fellowship, and seek the lost while impacting every person in our path for Jesus Christ through outdoor recreation, to also come along side the local church to help it meet it’s full redemptive purpose. This conference will help you define your interests and focus on how to do sports ministry effectively.

Sincerely,
Michael J. Schultz
