Dear Cyndi,
Thanks for your letter on Valentine's Day. I've been too busy to respond
until now, but I was very anxious to do so as soon as I could.
I attended the first God's Great Outdoors conference in Hopkinsville
last year. It was great. It served me well in several areas, as follows...
1. I found out I was not alone. As a pastor, I was sometimes a little
reluctant to share with people that I enjoyed shooting guns and hunting
game, as well as other outdoor activities such as canoeing and camping.
I met others with my interests in my area. Perhaps most useful, I found
a Christian taxidermist!
2. I gained valuable resources which I will use in the course of my ministry.
The materials which I received at the conference have proven very valuable
in the last year.
3. I got ideas on reaching some of the unchurched, particularly men,
in my area who ordinarily don't think about church and faith all too
often. I think it's "lifestyle" or "situational" evangelism
at it's best.
I heartily endorse your ministry. Keep up the good work for the Kingdom.
In Christ,
Rev. Jeffrey S. Graham
